This exceptional opportunity is for a dedicated 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to provide tailored assistance to a secondary pupil with complex needs within a supportive school environment. You will play a crucial role in fostering the pupil's development by following Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets, supporting their access to the curriculum, and actively promoting independence and essential life skills. We are considering applications for long-term, daily supply, or permanent contracts, with an attractive daily rate of £85 - £110, starting as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver highly individualised 1:1 support to a secondary pupil with complex special educational needs.
* Implement and monitor Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) objectives effectively.
* Facilitate the pupil's engagement with and access to the mainstream or specialist curriculum.
* Actively encourage the development of personal independence and self-help skills.
* Support the pupil in acquiring and refining essential life skills for future success.
* Work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals to ensure holistic pupil development.
About You
* Possess proven experience supporting secondary-aged pupils with complex special educational needs.
* Demonstrate a clear understanding of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and their implementation.
* Exhibit genuine passion for empowering young people to achieve their full potential.
* Display excellent communication, empathy, and behavioural management skills.
* Be adaptable, resilient, and patient in challenging and rewarding situations.
* Hold relevant qualifications or professional development in SEN support.
