We are seeking a dedicated SEN Class Teacher to join a supportive primary school in East London. This is a unique opportunity for an inspiring educator to lead a small class of pupils, each supported by an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). Your expertise will be vital in adapting the national curriculum to create engaging and accessible learning experiences for every child. You will play a crucial role in a collaborative team, working closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and families to ensure holistic pupil development. Various contract types are available, including daily supply, short-term, long-term, and permanent arrangements, starting as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver adapted curriculum content to small groups of primary pupils with EHCPs.
* Create and implement engaging, differentiated lesson plans tailored to individual needs.
* Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting strategies accordingly.
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, ensuring effective in-class support.
* Liaise regularly with therapists and other external professionals to integrate specialist interventions.
* Foster strong partnerships with families, providing updates and involving them in their child's educational journey.
About You
* Possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
* Hold demonstrable experience teaching primary pupils with Special Educational Needs, particularly those with EHCPs.
* Exhibit a deep understanding of differentiated teaching strategies and curriculum adaptation.
* Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration and family engagement.
* Show a genuine passion for fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
* Be proactive, adaptable, and committed to continuous professional development.
