Join a dynamic school providing specialist support for primary pupils on the autism spectrum as an ASD Support Assistant. This fulfilling role involves implementing structured routines, sensory strategies, and communication support within a dedicated specialist ASD provision. We are seeking a dedicated individual available for a range of contract types, including long-term, daily supply, short-term, or permanent positions, with an immediate start. The daily rate for this impactful role is between £90 and £115.
Key Responsibilities
* Implement structured routines and consistent boundaries to support pupil learning and development.
* Utilise a variety of sensory strategies tailored to meet individual pupil needs effectively.
* Provide crucial communication support, fostering pupil independence and expressive skills.
* Assist primary pupils on the autism spectrum with their academic and social progress.
* Collaborate closely with the class teacher and SENCO to tailor support strategies for optimal outcomes.
* Contribute to creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all pupils.
About You
* You possess demonstrable experience supporting primary-aged pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
* A strong understanding of various autism spectrum conditions and associated support techniques is essential.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are vital for engaging effectively with pupils and staff.
* You exhibit patience, resilience, and a consistently nurturing approach to education.
* The ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated and supportive team is highly valued.
