Key Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver stimulating Physics lessons across the secondary age range, ensuring all students are challenged and engaged.
• Foster a vibrant and inclusive classroom environment that encourages scientific inquiry and critical thinking.
• Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students, providing timely and constructive feedback.
• Contribute actively to the ongoing development and review of the Science curriculum, especially within Physics and Chemistry.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues to share best practices and enhance departmental success.
• Participate in extracurricular activities that enrich students' scientific understanding and experiences.
About You
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and possess a degree in Physics or a related scientific discipline.
• Demonstrate a profound passion for Physics and the ability to convey complex concepts with clarity and enthusiasm.
• Exhibit strong subject knowledge, ideally with a specialism in Chemistry, to effectively teach across the science curriculum.
• Proven ability to inspire and motivate secondary school students to achieve their full potential in science.
• Committed to continuous professional development and reflective teaching practices.
• Possess excellent classroom management skills and a commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment.
