SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with ADHD in KS2. This is a rewarding opportunity to help a child reach their full potential in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to deliver tailored support.

  • Help the pupil access the curriculum through personalised strategies and interventions.

  • Foster a positive, safe, and encouraging learning environment.

  • Support the pupil's social, emotional, and behavioural development.

  • Liaise with parents/carers and external professionals as needed.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children with ADHD in a primary school setting.

  • Is calm, patient, and adaptable with a nurturing approach.

  • Can build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and colleagues.

  • Is proactive and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Understands the importance of inclusion and equal opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 Certificate) is desirable however not essential.

  • Training in ADHD strategies, positive behaviour support, or similar areas is an advantage.
