Dunbar Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and dynamic team in Wolverhampton. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a rewarding role, supporting students with SEMH needs to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with SEMH needs.
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for learning.
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to ensure consistent support for students.
- Promote positive behaviour management and encourage students' social and emotional development.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience working with students with SEMH needs, preferably in a school or alternative provision setting.
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
- An enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
