A specialist SEMH school in Bromley s looking for a Teaching Assistant to support students both in the classroom and within our mechanics department, where learners engage in practical motorbike and mechanical work.
The Role:
Support students with SEMH and SEN in their academic and vocational learning
Assist in the mechanics workshop, working on motorbikes and vehicle maintenance
Encourage engagement, build confidence, and promote hands-on learning
Work closely with teachers and workshop leaders to provide tailored support
Help manage behavior positively and foster a supportive environment
The Ideal Candidate Will:
✔ Have experience working with young people with SEMH and SEN
✔ Possess some knowledge or hands-on experience in mechanics, motorbikes, or vehicle maintenance
✔ Be patient, resilient, and passionate about supporting students' personal and academic growth
✔ Be confident in delivering practical and classroom-based support
