The Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join our dedicated team. This role is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people who require additional support to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to students with SEN, helping them to access the curriculum and develop essential life skills.
Work closely with teachers to implement individualized learning plans and strategies.
Assist in the development of students' social and emotional skills, fostering confidence and independence.
Support students in managing their behavior in line with the school's policies.
Collaborate with parents, carers, and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure holistic support.
Engage in training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
Experience working with children or young people with SEN, particularly those with SEMH, ASD, and ADHD.
A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) are desirable but not essential.
