You will play a crucial part in fostering their independence and developing essential life skills within a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities
* Deliver highly effective 1:1 support tailored to the specific needs of a secondary pupil.
* Diligently implement and track progress against individual Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) objectives.
* Facilitate the pupil's full access to the secondary curriculum across various subjects.
* Actively encourage and nurture the development of independence and self-advocacy skills.
* Support the pupil in acquiring and refining crucial life skills for their future growth.
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff and external professionals to ensure a holistic support approach.
About You
* Possess demonstrable experience working with secondary-aged pupils with complex Special Educational Needs.
* Hold a strong understanding of EHCPs and their practical application in a school setting.
* Exhibit exceptional patience, empathy, and resilience in challenging situations.
* Are genuinely passionate about making a significant difference to a pupil's educational journey.
* Communicate clearly and effectively with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
* Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in tailoring support to diverse learning styles.
