About the Role
Join a respected school in Hertfordshire dedicated to supporting secondary pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs within a specialist provision. This is an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to make a significant impact on young lives, fostering a positive learning environment and promoting emotional well-being. We are seeking an individual who is passionate about guiding pupils through their educational journey, offering comprehensive support for behaviour management, emotional regulation, and successful reintegration into academic learning. This rewarding position offers flexible contract options, including long-term, daily supply, short-term, or permanent arrangements, with a competitive daily rate ranging from £95 to £120, commencing as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to secondary pupils with SEMH needs, both individually and in small groups.
* Implement effective behaviour management strategies, promoting a calm and focused learning atmosphere.
* Support pupils in developing crucial emotional regulation skills and resilience.
* Collaborate closely with teaching staff to facilitate pupil reintegration into mainstream learning activities.
* Contribute to the creation and adaptation of learning resources to meet diverse individual needs.
* Monitor and record pupil progress, providing valuable feedback to the wider support team.

About You
* You possess demonstrable experience working with secondary-aged pupils, particularly those with SEMH challenges.
* You exhibit a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people and fostering their potential.
* You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build strong rapport with pupils and colleagues.
* You demonstrate resilience and a proactive approach when navigating complex or challenging situations.
* You are adaptable and capable of responding effectively to the evolving needs of pupils and the school environment.
* You are committed to continuous professional development within the field of SEN support.
