Key Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver inspiring and effective lessons across the secondary Physics curriculum, incorporating Chemistry principles where appropriate.
• Systematically assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress, providing insightful and constructive feedback to support their development.
• Cultivate a stimulating, inclusive, and safe classroom environment that encourages curiosity and active participation from all pupils.
• Proactively contribute to the collaborative development and success of the Science department through shared resources and initiatives.
• Uphold the school’s commitment to high standards of pupil behaviour, welfare, and safeguarding at all times.
• Engage in wider school life, supporting extracurricular activities and fostering a positive school culture.

About You
• Possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Physics, demonstrating a robust understanding of Chemistry.
• Demonstrate a genuine passion for your subject and an unwavering commitment to inspiring young learners to achieve their full potential.
• Be an effective classroom practitioner, capable of delivering excellent outcomes for pupils across all abilities and experience levels (ECT, MPS, UPS).
• Exhibit strong classroom management skills, fostering an organised and respectful learning atmosphere.
• Be a collaborative team player, eager to contribute positively to a supportive departmental culture and the wider school community.
• Committed to ongoing professional development, continually seeking to enhance your teaching practice and subject knowledge.
