This is an exciting opportunity to join a progressive school in Shrewsbury, where you will play a pivotal role in supporting the early development of young learners within their vibrant Early Years Foundation Stage. The position involves assisting the class teacher in creating an inspiring and nurturing environment, directly contributing to the children's foundational learning experiences. We are seeking dedicated individuals for a variety of contract types, including long-term, short-term, daily supply, and permanent engagements, with an immediate start available.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide attentive support to individual pupils and small groups, fostering their engagement and progress in learning activities.
* Assist the class teacher with the preparation and organisation of effective learning materials and classroom displays.
* Contribute to maintaining a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment for all children.
* Encourage positive behaviour and social interactions, upholding the school's values and ethos.
* Observe and record children's achievements and developmental milestones, providing valuable feedback to the teacher.
* Support children with personal care routines where necessary, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
About You
* You possess relevant experience working with young children, ideally within an Early Years Foundation Stage setting.
* A solid understanding of the EYFS framework and its application in practice is essential.
* You demonstrate genuine passion for early years education and a commitment to child development.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills enable you to interact effectively with children, staff, and parents.
* You are a proactive and adaptable individual, capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
* A nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic approach to supporting children's learning journeys defines your professional style.
