Key Responsibilities
* Provide consistent, tailored 1:1 support to a secondary pupil, addressing their specific complex needs.
* Actively implement and monitor targets outlined in the pupil's Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
* Facilitate the pupil's engagement with the curriculum, adapting materials and strategies as necessary.
* Promote the development of crucial independence skills and valuable life skills within the school setting.
* Support the pupil's social and emotional well-being, fostering a positive and inclusive experience.
* Collaborate effectively with class teachers, SENCO, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive support approach.
About You
* You possess proven experience working with secondary-aged pupils who have complex special educational needs.
* An understanding of EHCPs and their practical application in a school environment is essential.
* You demonstrate exceptional patience, empathy, and resilience in challenging situations.
* Excellent communication skills are paramount for liaising with pupils, staff, and parents.
