About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic Biology Teacher to join a well-established school located within a vibrant community in Essex. This long-term, permanent position offers the chance to inspire secondary students in Science, with a particular focus on Biology and a specialism in Chemistry. We are seeking an individual ready to start in September or sooner, who is passionate about delivering exceptional scientific education across all key stages within a mainstream setting.

Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging and challenging Biology lessons to secondary students, incorporating Chemistry concepts where appropriate.
* Assess student progress effectively, providing constructive feedback to foster academic growth and attainment.
* Contribute to the development of an innovative and stimulating Science curriculum.
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and a love for learning.
* Participate actively in departmental meetings, school-wide initiatives, and continuous professional development.
* Support students' personal development and well-being through effective pastoral care.

About You
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK, suitable for teaching Biology and Chemistry at secondary level.
* Demonstrate a strong academic background in Biology, with a proven ability to teach Chemistry effectively.
* Possess excellent classroom management skills and a commitment to high standards of teaching and learning.
* Be enthusiastic, resilient, and dedicated to supporting the holistic development of every student.
* Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
* Be an Early Career Teacher (ECT) seeking a supportive start, or an experienced teacher (MPS/UPS) ready for a new challenge.
