1:1 SEN Support Assistant

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established school in the East of England, providing dedicated 1:1 SEN support for a primary phase pupil with complex needs, including ASD, PMLD, or sensory impairment. This vital role focuses on fostering individual growth and engagement, with contract options ranging from long-term daily supply to permanent, starting as soon as possible, offering a daily rate of £85 - £110.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored 1:1 support to a primary pupil with complex special educational needs.
* Cultivate a strong, trusting rapport to facilitate effective learning and emotional well-being.
* Diligently implement individualised Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets.
* Collaborate proactively with therapists and other professionals to ensure holistic support.
* Promote an inclusive and stimulating learning environment where every achievement is celebrated.
* Assist with personal care and mobility needs as required to ensure safety and comfort.
About You
* Possess demonstrable experience supporting children with complex needs such as ASD, PMLD, or sensory impairments.
* Exhibit exceptional patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for pupil development.
* Display a robust understanding of EHCPs and their practical application within an educational setting.
* Demonstrate excellent communication skills for effective liaison with pupils, staff, and external agencies.
* Be a proactive and adaptable individual, committed to continuous professional growth.
* Hold relevant qualifications or experience pertinent to supporting primary phase pupils with SEN.
