About the Role
A respected school in a vibrant area of Central London is seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant. This vital role involves providing crucial support to primary pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs. You will operate within a specialist SEMH setting, fostering a positive and structured learning environment. We are looking for someone available for an immediate start, offering various flexible contract options, including long-term, daily supply, short-term, and permanent positions. Competitive daily rates ranging from £95 to £120 are available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to primary pupils experiencing social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
* Implement effective de-escalation strategies to manage challenging behaviours calmly and professionally.
* Mentor pupils, guiding them towards positive social interactions and emotional regulation.
* Build strong, trusting relationships with individual pupils, promoting their self-esteem and engagement.
* Collaborate closely with class teachers and SENCOs to develop and deliver personalised learning plans.
* Contribute to creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom atmosphere for all learners.

About You
* You possess proven experience supporting primary-aged pupils with SEMH needs.
* You demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal.
* You are patient, resilient, and empathetic, with a genuine passion for pupil welfare.
* You have a proactive approach to supporting learning and managing behaviour.
* You are skilled in implementing de-escalation techniques and fostering positive relationships.
* You are adaptable and thrive within a specialist educational environment.
