A thriving primary school is seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist team. This rewarding role involves providing tailored support to pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) across the primary phase. You will work closely with children experiencing complex learning needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and speech and language difficulties, in both one-to-one and small group settings. We are open to discussing various contract types, including long-term, daily supply, short-term, or permanent positions, with an immediate start available for the right candidate, offering a daily rate between £90 and £115.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide dedicated one-to-one and small group support to primary pupils with complex learning needs.
* Implement individualised learning plans and EHCP targets effectively.
* Assist pupils with challenges such as ASD, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
* Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all children.
* Collaborate closely with class teachers, therapists, and the SENCo to monitor pupil progress.
* Support the development of pupils' communication, social, and emotional skills.
About You
* You possess previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs, ideally within a primary setting.
* You have a good understanding of conditions such as ASD, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
* An empathetic, patient, and resilient approach is central to your professional character.
* You demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building strong relationships with pupils and colleagues.
* You are a proactive team player, keen to contribute positively to a supportive school community.
