About the Role
A flourishing school is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to provide crucial, individualised assistance to a primary-aged pupil with complex needs, which may include Autism Spectrum Disorder, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties, or sensory impairments. This challenging yet immensely rewarding position requires an immediate start and offers flexible contract options, including long-term, daily supply, and permanent opportunities for the right candidate committed to making a significant difference.

Key Responsibilities
* Cultivate a strong, trusting rapport with a specific pupil, understanding their unique communication styles and needs.
* Diligently implement and monitor personalised Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets, adapting strategies as required.
* Collaborate effectively with class teachers and external therapists to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
* Provide focused 1:1 assistance, promoting the pupil's independence and access to the curriculum.
* Observe and accurately record pupil progress, contributing to regular reviews and future planning.
* Proactively manage challenging behaviours with empathy and consistent, positive reinforcement.
