About the Role
A progressive school is seeking a dedicated ASD Support Assistant to join their team, offering a variety of contract types from daily supply to long-term and permanent opportunities, with a competitive daily rate between £90 and £115, commencing as soon as possible. This vital role involves supporting secondary students with autism within a specialist SEN setting, helping them thrive educationally and personally. You will play a crucial part in fostering an inclusive and nurturing environment for all learners.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to secondary students on the autism spectrum.
* Facilitate effective social communication amongst students.
* Implement strategies to manage individual sensory needs.
* Assist students in accessing the secondary curriculum across various subjects.
* Encourage the development of essential independence skills.
* Collaborate with teaching staff to create inclusive learning opportunities.

About You
* Demonstrable experience supporting young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
* Possess a calm, patient, and highly empathetic demeanour.
* Exhibit strong verbal and non-verbal communication abilities.
* A proven capability to tailor support to individual learning styles and needs.
* Show a deep commitment to fostering the holistic development of students with SEN.
* Maintain a proactive and resilient approach to daily challenges.
