Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored one-to-one support to students with ASD, assisting them with their individual learning needs.
* Facilitate effective social communication strategies, helping students to build meaningful relationships.
* Implement strategies to manage sensory sensitivities and create a calm, regulated learning space.
* Assist students in accessing the curriculum, adapting materials and approaches as required.
* Collaborate closely with teaching staff and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student well-being.
* Promote independence and self-advocacy skills amongst the student cohort.
About You
* You possess a genuine passion for supporting young people with Special Educational Needs.
* Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum would be highly advantageous.
* You demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building rapport with students and colleagues.
* Patience, empathy, and a calm, consistent demeanour are qualities you embody.
* You are adaptable and proactive, capable of responding effectively to diverse student needs.
* A commitment to professional development and continuous learning is evident in your approach.
