Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to primary pupils experiencing social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
* Implement effective de-escalation strategies in challenging situations.
* Build strong, positive, and trusting relationships with pupils to encourage engagement.
* Mentor pupils individually and in small groups, promoting self-regulation and resilience.
* Assist with the delivery of educational activities, adapting approaches to meet individual learning styles.
* Collaborate proactively with teaching staff and external professionals to ensure holistic pupil development.
About You
* You possess a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs, particularly SEMH.
* Previous experience working with primary-aged pupils in a specialist or SEN environment is essential.
* You demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering trust and rapport.
* A calm and resilient approach, combined with strong de-escalation techniques, is crucial for this role.
* You are proactive, adaptable, and committed to promoting positive behaviour and inclusion.
