About the Role
Join a supportive school community in Hemel Hempstead where you will play a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of learning and fostering a positive educational environment for pupils. As a Cover Supervisor, you will step into various classrooms, ensuring that students remain engaged and productive during the short-term absence of their regular teacher. This vital position involves overseeing lessons, managing classroom behaviour effectively, and facilitating the completion of set work across a range of secondary subjects. We are actively seeking dedicated individuals for immediate starts, offering flexible contract options including long-term, daily supply, short-term, or even permanent positions, with a competitive daily rate of £145 - £160.

Key Responsibilities
• Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring students remain on task with pre-set work.
• Manage pupil behaviour effectively in line with school policies, promoting a calm and focused learning atmosphere.
• Respond to pupil queries and provide support to help them understand tasks and remain engaged.
• Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment, adhering to all school health and safety procedures.
• Report any significant issues or concerns regarding pupil behaviour or wellbeing to the appropriate staff members.
• Collect completed work at the end of lessons and return it to the designated staff or department.
