A dynamic school in the South East is actively seeking a highly motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to join its vibrant primary phase. This specialist environment is dedicated to supporting children with complex learning needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and speech and language difficulties, many of whom have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). You will provide crucial 1:1 and small group support, making a profound difference to pupil progress and overall well-being. We welcome applications from candidates open to long-term, daily supply, short-term, or permanent engagements, with an immediate start available. Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored academic and pastoral support to pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans.
* Facilitate engaging learning experiences for children in both one-to-one and small group settings.
* Assist pupils with complex learning needs, including ASD, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
* Collaborate effectively with class teachers and external therapists to implement individualised learning plans.
* Contribute to the creation of a positive, stimulating, and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
* Support the development of pupils' communication, social, and independent living skills.
About You
* You possess previous experience supporting primary-aged children with Special Educational Needs.
* You have a clear understanding of various complex learning difficulties, such as ASD, ADHD, and speech and language challenges.
* You demonstrate exceptional patience, empathy, and resilience in a demanding educational setting.
* You exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering strong relationships with pupils and staff.
* You adopt a proactive, flexible, and adaptable approach to your daily duties.
* You hold a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children.
