SEN Teaching Assistant

At a progressive primary school in Wokingham, we are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our specialist team immediately. This challenging yet incredibly rewarding role involves providing essential support to pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) across our vibrant learning environment. You will work closely with children in both 1:1 and small group settings, focusing on those with complex learning needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and speech and language difficulties. We are open to discussions regarding various contract types, from long-term and daily supply to short-term and permanent positions, with a competitive daily rate of £90 - £115 available for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
* Implement tailored support strategies for pupils with EHCPs, fostering their individual progress and development.
* Provide focused 1:1 and small group assistance to children exhibiting complex learning needs, including ASD, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
* Collaborate effectively with class teachers and therapists to create inclusive learning experiences and modify resources appropriately.
* Monitor and record pupil progress, contributing valuable observations to assessment and review processes.
* Promote a positive and nurturing learning environment where every child feels safe, respected, and encouraged to thrive.
* Support pupils with their communication and social interaction, helping them develop essential life skills.
