This challenging yet rewarding opportunity involves covering classes across various adapted curriculum areas within specialist SEN secondary settings, providing essential support and continuity for pupils with diverse learning needs on a daily supply and short-term basis. You will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of education and pastoral care, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
Key Responsibilities
* Effectively cover classes across a range of adapted secondary curriculum subjects, ensuring educational continuity.
* Implement engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to the specific learning styles and needs of students with SEN.
* Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all pupils feel valued and encouraged to achieve their potential.
* Manage pupil behaviour effectively, utilising proactive strategies to support positive engagement and learning.
* Collaborate with support staff and relevant school personnel to ensure a cohesive approach to student development and well-being.
* Adhere strictly to school policies and procedures, including those related to safeguarding and health and safety.
About You
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and be eligible to teach in the UK.
* Possess recent experience working with secondary-aged pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs.
* Demonstrate exceptional adaptability and resilience, thriving in dynamic and varied classroom settings.
* Exhibit strong behaviour management skills, capable of fostering a calm
