About the Role
A thriving school in Hertfordshire is seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their specialist provision. This crucial role involves providing tailored support to secondary pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, fostering an environment where every young person can thrive academically and personally. You will play a vital part in guiding pupils through their educational journey, helping them develop essential life skills and achieve their full potential within a supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
* Support secondary pupils with SEMH needs within a specialist learning environment.
* Implement strategies to manage challenging behaviours effectively and constructively.
* Assist pupils in developing emotional regulation skills and building resilience.
* Facilitate the reintegration of pupils into broader learning activities and classroom settings.
* Collaborate closely with teachers and other professionals to ensure holistic pupil development.
* Promote a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all pupils, celebrating their progress.

About You
* Possess experience working with young people with SEMH needs, ideally within a secondary setting.
* Demonstrate a compassionate, patient, and resilient approach to pupil support.
* Hold relevant qualifications or professional development in SEN/SEMH, or a strong desire to gain them.
* Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills, building rapport with pupils and colleagues.
* Be proactive and adaptable in responding to individual pupil requirements and evolving situations.
* Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people.
