About the Role
At a exceptional school in the Berkshire area, we are seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to provide crucial, individualised assistance to a primary-aged pupil with complex needs, which may include ASD, PMLD, or sensory impairments. This vital role focuses on building a strong, trusting rapport, implementing specific targets outlined in their Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), and working collaboratively with therapists and the wider school community. This rewarding position is available for an immediate start, with various contract options to consider.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide dedicated 1:1 support, nurturing the pupil's holistic development.
* Cultivate a strong, trusting rapport to ensure the pupil feels secure and understood.
* Implement specific objectives detailed within the pupil's Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
* Collaborate effectively with external therapists and specialists to integrate support strategies.
* Foster an inclusive and accessible learning environment tailored to individual needs.
* Support the pupil's engagement in all aspects of school life, promoting participation.

About You
* Possess demonstrable experience supporting children with complex needs, such as ASD, PMLD, or sensory impairments.
* Show a genuine passion for making a significant difference in a pupil's educational journey.
* Exhibit excellent communication skills, building effective relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
* Demonstrate exceptional patience, empathy, and understanding in all interactions.
* Be proactive, adaptable, and resourceful in responding to individual learning styles.
* Hold a steadfast commitment to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of all pupils.
