About the Role
We are seeking an inspiring and dedicated Biology Teacher to join an ambitious school in the vibrant Grays area of Essex. This long-term, permanent opportunity, commencing September 2026, involves delivering high-quality Biology and general Science lessons across the secondary key stages, fostering a deep understanding and passion for the subject among all pupils. You will contribute to a dynamic learning environment, empowering young minds to explore the wonders of the natural world and achieve their full potential, whilst being paid to scale commensurate with your experience.

Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging Biology lessons that inspire scientific curiosity and critical thinking.
* Develop and implement a stimulating curriculum designed to meet diverse learning needs.
* Assess pupil progress rigorously, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
* Contribute to the ongoing development of the Science department's teaching resources and strategies.
* Maintain an orderly and positive classroom environment conducive to effective learning.
* Collaborate effectively with colleagues to share best practice and enhance departmental outcomes.

About You
* You hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and possess a strong academic background in Biology.
* You are capable of teaching Biology to GCSE and A-Level, and general Science across the curriculum.
* Applications are welcomed from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) or experienced professionals (MPS/UPS).
* You possess an unwavering commitment to raising attainment and fostering a love for scientific inquiry.
* Your classroom management skills are exceptional, ensuring a productive and respectful learning atmosphere.
* You are dedicated to continuous professional development and eager to embrace new teaching methodologies.
