Key Responsibilities
* Implement individualised support plans to meet the complex needs of primary pupils with SEMH.
* Proactively utilise de-escalation techniques to manage challenging behaviours and promote a calm learning environment.
* Provide sensitive and effective 1:1 and small group mentoring, encouraging self-regulation and resilience.
* Collaborate closely with class teachers and specialist staff to adapt resources and enhance pupil engagement.
* Monitor and accurately record pupil progress, contributing to ongoing assessments and strategic planning.
* Champion a safe, inclusive, and nurturing atmosphere where every child feels valued and understood.

About You
* Demonstrable experience supporting primary-aged pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
* Possess exceptional patience, empathy, and a resilient approach to complex situations.
* Skilled in building rapport quickly and establishing trusting relationships with vulnerable children.
* A proactive and adaptable individual capable of responding effectively to dynamic classroom environments.
* Committed to continuous professional development and best practices in SEN support.
* Hold excellent communication skills, enabling effective liaison with pupils, staff, and parents/carers.
