About the Role
A highly regarded school is seeking a dedicated and proactive Cover Supervisor to join its supportive team. This pivotal role involves overseeing classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring the continuity of learning and maintaining a positive, engaging atmosphere for students across the secondary phase. You will play a crucial part in upholding the school's high standards of education and student welfare, providing essential support to both pupils and the wider teaching staff. This vital position offers flexible contract options, including long-term, short-term, daily supply, or a permanent arrangement, catering to various professional aspirations.

Key Responsibilities
• Supervise students effectively within the classroom, ensuring they remain focused on set tasks.
• Implement and manage behaviour policies consistently to foster a productive learning environment.
• Provide clear instructions and guidance to students regarding their assigned work.
• Respond appropriately to student queries, offering encouragement and assistance when necessary.
• Maintain a safe and orderly classroom, adhering to all school procedures and safeguarding protocols.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure smooth transitions and effective lesson delivery.

About You
• Possess previous experience working with young people in an educational or similar setting.
• Demonstrate excellent behaviour management techniques and a calm, authoritative presence.
• Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building positive rapport with students.
• Be highly adaptable and resilient, able to respond effectively to varied classroom situations.
• Show a genuine enthusiasm for supporting student learning and development.
• Hold a steadfast commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils.
