This pivotal role involves fostering therapeutic relationships, expertly managing challenging behaviour, and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs. Key Responsibilities
* Deliver a broad and balanced primary curriculum, adapted for pupils with SEMH needs.
* Implement effective behaviour management strategies, promoting a positive learning environment.
* Build strong, trusting therapeutic relationships with pupils, understanding their individual challenges.
* Differentiate learning activities and resources to ensure all pupils can access the curriculum.
* Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching methods.
* Collaborate closely with teaching assistants and other professionals to support pupil well-being and achievement.
About You
* Possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant UK teaching experience.
* Demonstrate proven experience working with primary-aged pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
* Have a robust understanding of strategies for managing challenging behaviour in a classroom setting.
* Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with pupils, staff, and parents.
* Be passionate about making a significant positive impact on the lives of vulnerable children.
