This vital role involves supporting secondary students on the autism spectrum, helping them to navigate their school day effectively. You will be instrumental in facilitating social communication, adeptly managing sensory needs, and ensuring full access to the curriculum. This position offers flexible contract options, including long-term, daily supply, short-term, or permanent arrangements, with a competitive daily rate ranging from £90 to £115.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to secondary students on the autism spectrum within a specialist setting.
* Facilitate effective social communication opportunities for pupils throughout the school day.
* Proactively manage and respond to individual students' sensory needs and requirements.
* Support students in accessing a broad and balanced curriculum across various subjects.
* Collaborate closely with teaching staff to implement individualised education plans (IEPs).
* Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive.
About You
* You possess demonstrable experience working with secondary-aged students with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
