About the Role
A flourishing school is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to provide tailored assistance to a secondary pupil with complex needs. This challenging yet incredibly rewarding role involves meticulously following EHCP targets, ensuring comprehensive curriculum access, and actively promoting the pupil's independence and crucial life skills. This immediate opportunity offers a competitive daily rate of £85 - £110 and can be secured on a long-term, daily supply, or permanent contract, depending on your preference and the school's needs.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide dedicated, individualised support to a secondary pupil with complex special educational needs.
* Implement and monitor specific targets outlined in the pupil's Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
* Facilitate the pupil's engagement with and access to a broad and balanced curriculum.
* Champion the development of the pupil's independence across all school activities.
* Actively foster essential life skills and social competencies within the school environment.
* Collaborate effectively with teaching staff and external professionals to ensure holistic pupil progress.

About You
* Possess demonstrable experience supporting pupils with complex special educational needs, ideally within a secondary setting.
* Hold a genuine passion for making a significant difference in a young person's educational journey.
* Exhibit exceptional patience, resilience, and a proactive approach to overcoming daily challenges.
* Demonstrate a strong understanding of EHCPs and their practical application in a classroom environment.
* Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with pupils, staff, and parents.
