This vital role involves providing crucial support to primary-aged pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) within a specialist setting. You will work closely with children who have complex learning needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and speech and language difficulties. Opportunities are available for immediate starts across various contract types, including long-term, short-term, daily supply, and permanent positions, with a competitive daily rate of £90 - £115.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to primary-aged pupils.
* Assist children with complex learning needs, including ASD, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
* Contribute to the implementation of individualised Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
* Foster an inclusive, stimulating, and supportive learning environment for all pupils.
* Collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and other school professionals.
* Monitor and record pupil progress, contributing to regular assessments and reviews.
About You
* Possess demonstrable experience supporting pupils with special educational needs, particularly within a primary setting.
* Have a strong understanding of various complex learning needs, such as ASD, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
* Exhibit patience, empathy, and resilience when working with children who require additional support.
* Communicate effectively and sensitively with pupils, staff, and parents/carers.
* Thrive as a collaborative team member, committed to collective pupil success.
