About the Role
A dedicated school is seeking an empathetic and skilled 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to provide tailored assistance to a secondary pupil with complex special educational needs. This vital role involves delivering dedicated, individualised support, ensuring the student can access their education effectively within a nurturing school environment. You will play a crucial part in implementing personalised learning strategies, making a significant impact on the pupil's daily school experience.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide focused 1:1 support for a secondary pupil with complex needs throughout the school day.
* Implement and adapt learning activities based on the pupil's Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets.
* Facilitate the pupil's access to the curriculum across a range of subjects.
* Promote independence and develop essential life skills to support personal growth.
* Collaborate closely with class teachers and SENCO to monitor progress and adjust support.
* Maintain a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment for the individual pupil.

About You
* You possess previous experience working with children or young people with special educational needs.
* A genuine passion for supporting pupils with complex needs to achieve their full potential is essential.
* You demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building strong rapport with pupils and staff.
* The ability to work autonomously and follow specific educational plans effectively is highly valued.
* You are patient, resilient, and resourceful in adapting to individual learning styles and challenges.
* A commitment to continuous professional development in SEN support is highly desirable.
