Key Responsibilities
• Provide tailored support to individual pupils or small groups with diverse Special Educational Needs.
• Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons that cater to varying learning styles.
• Implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and behavioural support strategies effectively.
• Monitor and record pupil progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and relevant staff.
• Foster a positive and nurturing classroom atmosphere that encourages pupil participation and confidence.
• Support pupils during transitions, break times, and extra-curricular activities as required.
About You
• Possess previous experience supporting primary-aged children with Special Educational Needs.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of various learning difficulties and effective support strategies.
• Hold relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Teaching & Learning Support or equivalent).
• Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with pupils, staff, and parents.
• Show a proactive and patient approach, combined with a genuine passion for inclusive education.
• Be adaptable and resilient, ready to contribute positively to a busy school environment.
