About the Role
A dedicated school is seeking an inspirational Design & Technology Teacher to join their vibrant secondary department on a long-term, permanent contract from September 2026. This pivotal role involves delivering engaging and high-quality DT lessons across various key stages, fostering creativity and practical skills within a supportive learning environment. You will be instrumental in shaping future innovators and ensuring every student achieves their full potential in this dynamic subject.

Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver innovative and differentiated DT lessons across the secondary curriculum.
* Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback for improvement.
* Create and maintain a stimulating, organised, and safe learning environment within workshops and classrooms.
* Develop and implement engaging schemes of work that align with national curriculum standards.
* Contribute actively to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities related to DT.
* Manage resources effectively, ensuring equipment is well-maintained and used appropriately.

About You
* Possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and demonstrable experience teaching Design & Technology at secondary level (ECTs are warmly encouraged to apply).
* Exhibit a genuine passion for DT and the ability to inspire students with diverse interests and abilities.
* Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills, fostering a positive and productive learning atmosphere.
* Show a commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
* Possess strong subject knowledge across a range of DT specialisms, including resistant materials, product design, or graphics.
* Are dedicated to promoting high standards of achievement and student well-being.
