We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEMH Teacher to join an inclusive school located in East London, offering vital support to primary-aged pupils. This rewarding opportunity involves teaching in a specialist SEMH primary setting or a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU), focusing on building strong therapeutic relationships to positively manage challenging behaviour. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that cater to the unique needs of each learner. We are open to discussing various contract options, including long-term, daily supply, or permanent placements, with an immediate start available.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver dynamic and differentiated lessons for primary pupils with SEMH needs.
* Develop and implement individualised learning plans to support pupil progress.
* Cultivate strong, positive therapeutic relationships with all pupils.
* Effectively manage challenging behaviour through proactive and supportive strategies.
* Collaborate closely with support staff, parents, and external agencies.
* Monitor and assess pupil development, providing regular feedback and reports.
About You
* Possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is a fundamental requirement.
* Demonstrable experience working with primary-aged pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
* Exhibit a patient, resilient, and deeply compassionate approach to teaching.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.
* A proven ability to inspire, motivate, and engage diverse learners.
* Committed to safeguarding children and promoting their overall welfare.
