Key Responsibilities
* Implement and adapt individualised learning plans in line with EHCP objectives.
* Facilitate full access to the secondary curriculum, tailoring support as required.
* Champion the development of crucial independence and life skills for the pupil.
* Monitor and accurately record the pupil's progress, contributing to regular reviews.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure holistic support.
* Proactively manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours using positive strategies.
About You
* You possess demonstrable experience providing 1:1 support to pupils with complex SEN, ideally at secondary level.
* You show a deep understanding of EHCPs and their practical application in an educational setting.
* Your approach is consistently patient, empathetic, and highly resilient in challenging situations.
* You are an exceptional communicator, able to build strong rapport with pupils, staff, and families.
* You are proactive and resourceful, always seeking the best strategies to engage and support learning.
