About the Role
An exciting long-term, permanent opportunity has arisen within an innovative primary SEN school in North London for a dedicated support assistant. This challenging and highly rewarding role involves providing essential one-to-one and small group support to pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) within a specialist provision. You will play a crucial part in implementing tailored therapy programmes and fostering a nurturing environment that enables pupils to thrive, contributing to their daily progress from an ASAP start.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide compassionate and effective support for primary-aged pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties.
* Assist with personal care routines, ensuring dignity and comfort for all pupils.
* Facilitate engaging sensory stimulation activities designed to enhance pupil interaction and development.
* Implement individualised therapy programmes under the guidance of class teachers and specialists.
* Support communication and engagement through various methods tailored to each pupil's needs.
* Contribute proactively to the creation of a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.

* You possess demonstrable experience supporting individuals with profound and multiple learning difficulties.
* A compassionate and patient demeanour is essential for building strong relationships with pupils.
* You exhibit resilience and adaptability when faced with diverse and evolving pupil needs.
* The ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative and dedicated team is paramount.
* You are proactive in identifying opportunities for pupil engagement and development.
* A strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to pupil well-being are fundamental.
