Key Responsibilities
• Provide tailored support to pupils with special educational needs, both individually and in small groups.
• Assist class teachers in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and differentiated learning strategies.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere where every child feels valued and able to learn.
• Monitor and record pupils' progress, reporting observations to the class teacher and SENCo.
• Support pupils' social and emotional development, promoting their independence and self-esteem.
• Help prepare engaging learning materials and maintain an organised classroom environment.
About You
• Possess a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs in a primary setting.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building rapport with pupils, staff, and parents.
• Exhibit a patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to challenges, celebrating every small success.
• Hold relevant experience working with children, ideally within an educational or SEN context.
• Be proactive and adaptable, able to work effectively as part of a dedicated team.
