Key Responsibilities
• Supervise students undertaking pre-set work during short-term teacher absence.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring a calm and respectful learning atmosphere.
• Promote positive relationships and encourage student engagement with assigned tasks.
• Respond to immediate questions or issues that arise, referring complex matters to relevant staff.
• Collect completed work at the end of lessons and ensure its safe return.
• Maintain accurate registers and uphold school procedures and policies consistently.
About You
• Proven experience working with young people, ideally within a secondary school setting.
• Demonstrable ability to manage classroom behaviour confidently and effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive interactions with students and staff.
• A proactive and adaptable approach, capable of responding to varying classroom needs.
• Genuine passion for supporting student learning and development.
