About the Role
Join an inclusive school in West London, specifically within the vibrant Hillingdon area, as an ASD Support Assistant. This vital role involves providing dedicated support to secondary students on the autism spectrum within a specialist setting. You will be instrumental in facilitating effective social communication, expertly managing sensory needs, and ensuring full curriculum access for every student. We are actively seeking compassionate individuals for a variety of contracts including long-term, daily supply, short-term, and permanent positions. An attractive daily rate of £90 - £115 is offered, with a start date as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored one-to-one and small group support to secondary students with ASD.
* Implement strategies to enhance social interaction and communication skills.
* Proactively manage and respond to students' diverse sensory needs within the learning environment.
* Assist students in accessing and engaging with the secondary curriculum across various subjects.
* Collaborate closely with class teachers and the SENCO to deliver personalised learning plans.
* Contribute to a positive and nurturing classroom atmosphere that promotes student well-being.

About You
* Possess a genuine passion for supporting young people with Special Educational Needs, particularly ASD.
* Demonstrate previous experience working with secondary-aged students on the autism spectrum.
* Exhibit a strong understanding of various communication strategies and sensory processing differences.
* Hold excellent interpersonal skills, showing patience, empathy, and resilience.
* Be committed to fostering independence and academic progress in every student.
