About the Role
A dynamic school is seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team, providing crucial support to primary pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs. This vital role involves working within a specialist setting, contributing to a nurturing environment where every child can thrive. You will play a significant part in fostering positive relationships and helping young learners develop essential life skills.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to primary pupils experiencing social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
* Implement effective de-escalation strategies to manage challenging behaviours calmly and empathetically.
* Mentor pupils, encouraging their personal growth and resilience in a supportive environment.
* Build strong, positive relationships with pupils, fostering trust and a sense of belonging.
* Assist in creating an inclusive and engaging learning atmosphere within the specialist SEMH setting.
* Collaborate with teaching staff to support individual learning plans and pupil progress.

About You
* You possess proven experience supporting primary-aged pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
* You demonstrate exceptional patience, resilience, and empathy when working with vulnerable young people.
* You are skilled in implementing de-escalation techniques and managing challenging situations with composure.
* You have a genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of children with SEN.
* You are an excellent communicator, capable of building rapport with pupils, staff, and the wider school community.
* You are adaptable and open to various contract opportunities, including long-term, daily supply, short-term, or permanent roles.
