Key Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver innovative and engaging Design and Technology lessons to secondary students.
* Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback for development.
* Maintain a safe and organised learning environment, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations in practical workshops.
* Contribute to the ongoing development and review of the DT curriculum, ensuring relevance and challenge.
* Engage students in practical projects that foster problem-solving, creativity, and critical thinking.
* Participate actively in the wider school community, supporting extracurricular activities and departmental initiatives.
About You
* Possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and demonstrable experience teaching Design and Technology at secondary level.
* Show a genuine passion for your subject, inspiring students to explore and innovate within DT.
* Be adept at creating an inclusive and stimulating learning environment where all students can thrive.
* Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills, promoting positive behaviour and productive learning.
* Have a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
* Exhibit exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, building positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
