SEN Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a committed and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Wolverhampton. This role involves providing tailored support to pupils with special educational needs, helping them to access the curriculum and thrive in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and personalised learning strategies.
• Support pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural development throughout the school day.
• Assist with the preparation of adapted resources and learning materials.
• Monitor and record pupil progress, feeding back to teaching staff and parents where appropriate.
• Promote an inclusive and positive classroom environment.
About You:
• Previous experience supporting children with special educational needs in a school or care setting.
• A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to working with young people.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A genuine passion for making a difference in children's lives.
• Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE) are desirable but not essential.
