Key Responsibilities
* Provide consistent and tailored 1:1 support to a secondary pupil with complex special educational needs.
* Work closely with teaching staff to understand and implement specific EHCP targets effectively.
* Facilitate the pupil's access to the broad secondary curriculum, adapting resources as required.
* Actively promote the development of independence and vital life skills within the school environment.
* Support the pupil's social, emotional, and behavioural needs with patience and understanding.
* Maintain accurate records of the pupil's progress and contribute to regular reviews.
About You
* You possess proven experience supporting secondary-aged pupils with complex Special Educational Needs, ideally in a 1:1 capacity.
* A strong understanding of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and their practical application is essential.
* You demonstrate exceptional patience, empathy, and resilience when working with diverse learning needs.
* Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for collaborating with pupils, staff, and parents.
* A genuine passion for fostering inclusive education and unlocking every pupil's potential drives your practice.
* You are proactive, adaptable, and able to respond effectively to varying situations throughout the school day.
