Join a progressive primary school seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to provide crucial assistance to a pupil with complex needs, including ASD, PMLD, or sensory impairment. This long-term, daily supply, or permanent position offers a daily rate between £85 and £110, starting as soon as possible, focusing on building strong rapport, implementing EHCP targets, and collaborating with therapists.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver tailored 1:1 support to a primary pupil with specific educational needs.
* Assist a child with complex needs, such as ASD, PMLD, or sensory impairment.
* Foster a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil to encourage engagement.
* Effectively implement individualised Education, Health and Care Plan targets.
* Collaborate closely with external therapists and school staff to ensure holistic support.
* Contribute to creating a highly inclusive and supportive learning environment for the pupil.
About You
* Possess proven experience supporting pupils with complex Special Educational Needs.
* Demonstrate exceptional patience, empathy, and resilience in a support role.
* Skilled in building strong, positive rapport with children with diverse needs.
* Familiarity with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and their practical application is essential.
* A collaborative team player with excellent communication skills is highly valued.
