About the Role
Become an integral part of our vibrant school community as a Cover Supervisor at a progressive school. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the continuity of learning and maintaining a positive, engaging environment for our secondary students during teacher absences. This is an opportunity to make a direct impact on student success and contribute to the collaborative spirit that defines our educational setting, supporting pupils across diverse subjects and year groups.

Key Responsibilities
• Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of the assigned teacher.
• Ensure students remain focused on pre-set learning activities and tasks.
• Effectively manage classroom behaviour, upholding a positive and respectful atmosphere.
• Promote student engagement and encourage independent learning where appropriate.
• Provide clear feedback to teaching staff regarding completed work and any student issues.
• Adhere to all school policies, including safeguarding and health and safety procedures.

About You
• A genuine passion for supporting the educational journey of young people.
• Proven ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively and positively.
• Excellent communication skills, adaptable to various student needs and staff interactions.
• A proactive and resilient approach to daily challenges within a busy school environment.
• Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all pupils.
• Prior experience working with secondary-aged students is highly desirable.
