A progressive school in Grays, Essex, is seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team. This vital role involves working within our specialist provision, supporting secondary pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You will play a crucial part in fostering emotional regulation, providing behaviour support, and facilitating pupils' successful reintegration into learning environments. We are open to various contract types, including long-term, short-term, daily supply, and permanent positions, with a competitive daily rate ranging from £95 to £120, ideally for an immediate start.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver person-centred behaviour support strategies effectively.
* Support pupils in developing their emotional regulation skills.
* Facilitate the reintegration of pupils into mainstream learning as appropriate.
* Collaborate closely with class teachers and SENCO to implement individualised education plans.
* Create a nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes pupil engagement.
* Provide consistent pastoral support and guidance to secondary pupils.
About You
* Possess a genuine passion for supporting secondary pupils with SEMH needs.
* Demonstrate previous experience working effectively in a SEN setting.
* Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Show a patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to daily challenges.
* Be proactive and adaptable in responding to individual pupil requirements.
* Hold a strong commitment to promoting inclusion and positive outcomes
